Weekly Flower Subscriptions

Weekly flower subscriptions.. so what actually are they and why do you want to be a part of it.

Local farms all over the world sell flowers through a CSA Flower Subscription. It is a wonderful way to support a local, small scale farm in a time when income is at it’s lowest (usually $0!) there are lots of different ways to structure your sales model but they usually revolve around the similar concept of memebers of the public ‘investing’ a certain amount before the season begins and receive a ‘share’ (product) in exchange once the season has started!

Local farms rely on their commuinity to exist. Without the local community supporting and buying their products, their business couldn’t function.

Ok so flowers, weekly.. whats not to love? Our Flower Subscrptions function rather simply. You go to our website (www.thegrownkind.com) select the subscription you want - full season, ranunculus, dahlias or farm selection) and purchase! (for the Farm selection you get to pick from 3 differetn 10 week blocks) at the checkout you choose one of the amazing pick up locations across Adelaide. And thats it! once were about a week away from the flowers starting I’ll be in touch with all the important info and all thats left for you to do is to watch your inbox for the first pick up date.

Each week, you then get to mosy on down to your local pick up spot and collect your flowers. This is the same time every week - Friday arvo-end of day Saturday.

Supporting your local flower farm means supporting a dream, a family and the type of society you want to be a part of.

Do you care about where you source your fruit and veg from? Do you try to buy organic? Well you should with your flowers too!! Just because you don’t necissarily ‘eat’ them.. doesnt’t excuse the use of chemical processes. It stems further than your home, the person who handles and transports the flowers. The person that grows the flowers and is present in the feild.. the environment. It’s all important must be considered. Do you know where your flowers come form? Who grows them? How far they travel? Do they spray any chemicals on them?

Connecting community and farmers is such a wonderful thing. And not to mention how big of an impact your purchasde is for a small business compared to a huge established company.
